As part of my stay here, I participated in retreat hosted my El Centro de Las Casas called Taller de juegos cooperativos. We went to Arcatao where we stayed for 3 days. There were around 20 people who participated in the games we played, dicussions we had, and the long hike we went on to see the caves in which people had to hide during the war. The retreat was about a sense of community, it was about trusting others and learning to work with others. It was an especially interesting experience for me since I didn´nt know anyone going into it but I was able to met new people with lives and lifestyles completely different to mine.
Los objetivos de El taller:
*reflexionar colectivamente el juego y la recreación cooperativa como espacios formadores de valores para la comunidad
*facilitar herramientas para el análisis, crítica y propuesta del juego y la recreación
*desarrollar las capacidades personales para la gestión local de procesos de juego y recreación cooperativa
